Aerial spraying to commence May 8th - Lower Vancouver Island
The ingredients are "safe and effective," says Health Canada
Aerial spraying (kinda like crop dusting), ostensibly designed to kill, destroy, annihilate, murder only the dreaded Spongy Moth, is tentatively scheduled to start on May 8th.
To get a quick update on the situation, visit the Concerned Communities for Clean Air website, and/or listen to a 30 minute interview with Communities United for Clean Air co-ordinator Jennifer Tynan, and consider taking some action.
You can call, email, or go to the following MLAs offices to demand a stop to this spraying. Ask them questions: eg to explain how and why your tax dollars are being used to spray these chemicals over the city.
